15-19 Feb 2017

Have you seen a Bamboo Bike and wondered where can I get one? Making your own bike is a lot more fun than buying from a shop. This workshop is a great opportunity to learn about bamboo as a sustainable material while building your own bamboo bike from the start.

During the workshop you will be build a custom  bike frame from bamboo and finish it off with salvaged bicycle components. You can add new bike components later as per your needs. At the end of the workshop you will ride away in your own hand made bamboo bike.

The workshop will be facilitated by Munir Vahanvati and Sam Mitchell combining their experience in building with bamboo and bike building.

The workshop will cover  –
  • Bamboo for the bike
  • Salvaged bicycle components from recycled bikes. (Note: Cost of new components is not included. You can add new components as per your requirement later or bring them at the workshop).
  • Required tools and jigs
  • Tea and coffee during the workshop (Note: BYO lunch)
Note:
